The Effects of Exercise Prescription on Bone Metabolism of SHRSP


Abstract
The tendency of bone maturation was observed in running training and swimming by using SHRSP(Spontaneous Hypertensive Rat Stroke-prone) in which a quick response and. an easy observation toward bone metabolism were available. In running, weight load and muscle contraction were worked spontaneously, and in swimming, muscle contraction was only worked. An analysis toward bone density and the factors of bone metabolism was done at the time of finishing each exercise and a comparison between the effects of two exercises toward bone metabolism was conducted as well. The results are as follow:
1. Change of bone metabolism and Ca metabolism were found in enforcemental exercise load and malfunction of bone maturation was identified.
2. Increase of bone density was found by stimulation of Ca and P stagnaton in distal bones influenced from the pressure of the weight increase.
The weight load and muscle tension load were worked differently by total body or each body parts in each type of exercise and the effects on the bone maturation during adolescent period was identified.
